Career opportunities for professionals

Get started at SOMIC

Your career in mechanical engineering

Whether you are a graduate, have several years of experience in mechanical engineering, or come from a completely different industry - at SOMIC, what counts is what you can do and where you want to go. We offer career opportunities in a variety of fields:

Craftsmanship meets high-tech

Technical jobs

Are you a hands-on person through and through? Do you like to roll up your sleeves and see what you've accomplished at the end of the day?

Whether as a CNC turner or CNC miller in our parts production in Haag, where you manufacture precision components for our packaging machines, as an electrical assembler who assembles and wires electrical assemblies and control cabinets in Amerang, or as a service technician who travels nationwide or internationally to maintain, repair, and provide technical support for our systems at customer sites - maybe even as a commissioning technician who sets up, connects, and commissions new machines at customer locations.

Hands-on work is what we're all about.

You'll take responsibility for quality and be needed wherever individual parts become functioning systems.

Where innovation begins

Engineering & Development Professions

Do you think in terms of solutions - and see the machine before it is built? Then develop concepts at SOMIC that set standards worldwide.

In engineering and technical product development, you'll work with current CAD software on production-ready drawings, mechanical assemblies, and complete systems. As a team leader, you'll take responsibility for machine modules, coordinate closely with purchasing, production, and software, and serve as the central contact for your team. If your passion is software, you'll develop the intelligence of our machines as a PLC programmer or PLC software developer - in order processing, with a focus on machine safety, or in new development. Or as an engineer in technical documentation, you'll ensure our complex machines are clearly documented and intuitively operable.

You'll play a key role in implementing our projects and contribute your ideas.

Organize, manage, design

Commercial jobs

You make sure everything runs smoothly - even when things get complex?

In SOMIC's administrative and commercial areas, it's about far more than numbers and paperwork. You could work as an HR administrator in recruiting, attracting the best talents for SOMIC and managing administrative HR processes. In purchasing, you secure the procurement of components and raw materials, negotiate with suppliers, and keep costs and quality in check. In sales, you advise customers, calculate quotes, and support projects from inquiry to order. In project management, you coordinate complex machine projects across all departments. In logistics, you organize material flows, warehousing, and worldwide spare parts supply. Or you work in finance, controlling, quality management, or IT administration.

You'll be close to technology, understand the processes, and actively help shape them - as an equal partner with all departments.
