We are currently training around 50 apprentices in seven different professions at our locations in Amerang and Haag. From day one, you'll be right in the middle of things, learning the basics in our own training workshop and then putting them into practice straight away.

Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d)
Are you fascinated by machines and technical equipment? With us, you will not only learn the theory - you will also manufacture components and assemblies with your own hands, assemble them into complex technical systems, and bring life into the equipment.

Electronics Technician for Industrial Engineering (m/f/d)
You will learn how to assemble and install electrical operating, production, and process systems. You will prepare construction drawings and circuit diagrams and implement them.

Duration: 3.5 years
Mechatronics Technician (m/f/d)
You will become a specialist in three areas: mechanics, electronics, and information technology science. You will manufacture parts, assemble mechanical, electrical, and electronic components, install hardware and software components.

Duration: 3.5 years
Skilled Warehouse Operator (m/f/d)
You will keep track of inventory, accept goods, check documents, and take care of forwarding or storage. You will also become a forklift professional with us.

Technical Product Designer (m/f/d)
Perfect design and optimal engineering form the basis for the smooth functioning of our machines. You will design and construct components and assemblies for our machines using 3D CAD programs.

Computer Science Expert for System Integration (m/f/d)
You will handle the installation and administration of our IT systems, set up network components, plan security concepts, procure hardware and software.

How to secure your apprenticeship at SOMIC
Your way to SOMIC
Apply early! Ideally, you should apply in the fall of the previous year. This will secure your apprenticeship and allow you to start your final year of school feeling relaxed. You can find available apprenticeships in our job overview.
Ready to start your apprenticeship
Right in the middle from day one
When your apprenticeship begins in early September, you will start your professional future together with other apprentices. We currently have around 50 apprentices, so you won't be alone, but part of a strong community.
- Our own training workshop as a starting point
With us, you're not an apprentice who stands on the sidelines. You will start in our own training workshop and learn the basics right from the start – with solid technical knowledge and in an optimal environment. Here you will have plenty of time to practice, try things out, and perfect your skills.
- Then it's time to get started in the profession
After your basic training, you'll work directly in our specialized departments. You will get to know different work processes and gradually take on more and more responsibility. Our experienced trainers accompany you and always have an open ear.

Many of our current managers started out with us as trainees. After successfully completing your training, you have excellent chances of permanent employment and long-term prospects at SOMIC. Whether you want to pursue further training as a master craftsman or technician, specialize in a particular field, or take on international service assignments, we will open many doors for you along the way.
